MPJ to launch one month statewide health campaign from 2nd October, 2015

Movement for Peace & Justice for
Welfare, Maharashtra popularly known as MPJ has decided to launch a one month state
wide public campaign to ensure health for all, which is scheduled to be start
on the auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth day 2nd October. This was
announced by the MPJ state president, Muhammad Siraj yesterday in a workshop on
the forthcoming health campaign organized at Kalyan, near Mumbai. While
addressing the MPJ activists, he said that people of the state are not getting benefitted
from the Public health system fully. He was of the opinion that, the primary health
services can play pivotal role in providing health care to the public. This is
the basic health care unit provisioned by the government, which is available to
us just stepping out of the home. We need to make public aware about existence
of such nearby facilities. We also need to strengthen all the public health
system in the larger interest of general public.  He chalked out the detail plans of the
campaign to its cadres. In first phase of the campaign, the MPJ will gather
necessary information about the availability of the health infrastructure in
the state. Basically, it will be an exercise to know the state of health
infrastructure in the state of Maharashtra.  In the second phase, MPJ will launch a massive
public awareness drive to inform people about their right to health ensured in
the constitution of India and international declaration. In this phase, people
will also be informed about government provision and schemes regarding health
in the state. In the third phase, the MPJ will lodge the complaints received
from different quarters with respective authorities and in the final phase MPJ
has decided to raise advocacy issues related to health for all.
