Thematic Areas
POVERTY REDUCTION: Poverty reduction is one of the major thematic areas of MPJ’s programme operations major efforts go towards poverty alleviation by ensuring the proper delivery of rations to the needy and poor people through PDS under the National Food Security Act and improving the living standard of the target people.
PARTICIPATION: People’s participation is a very crucial part of programme operation as it creates ownership among them which is essential to make the program sustainable. MPJ tries to involve project participants at all stages of the project circle for long-term sustainability.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: MPJ has been very much concerned about the empowerment of women. MPJ strongly believes that the economic emancipation of women can make them empowered which may also help to establish their social status. Keeping this reality in mind, MPJ has been working with women.
PROMOTING GOOD GOVERNANCE, DEMOCRACY & HUMAN RIGHTS: Governance, Democracy and Human Rights are correlated. MPJ has long been working in this field promoting human rights, democracy and good governance by raising awareness among the grass-root people.
ADVOCACY: Under this thematic area, MPJ always tries its best to advocate the issues of public interest influencing policy makers/stakeholders through lobbying, seminars, workshops, protests and forming alliances with organisations having similar objectives.
